Photo Friday...on a Monday.

Calliope of Creating Motherhood is the person who began the Photo Friday I participate in. I adore her blog and, though I'm a lurker, love to participate in her 'assignments'. This week the theme was bowls or door knobs. Since our house was built in 1991, all the knobs are round, gold and so terrifyingly boring that I'll not even bother.

Here, however, are the most important set of bowls in our house...





I think we spend more time filling and washing those bowls than any others in the place. If you're wondering why there is a third, see the post below about our adorable foster dog!

Godson

This is an old shot but I decided to put it up in honor of my friend Tristin. She's going to be adding a second godson to my first any day now! This was a picture I took soon after meeting Lizard (the godson) and it is one of my most precious moments.

Blurgh.

It's one letter away from a very cool city but the letter makes all the difference. What is my problem, you ask? This.






The snow is killing me! Dead! Last night it took us two hours to do a 45 min drive and there was nearly a foot a new snow. It's April!! I'm looking forward with glee to Texas next week where a sighting of actual spring has been reported.

Last night we spent in the company of Rae and Gwen and Muse. All highly enjoyable and totally recommended.

Conference Weekend

During the first weekends of April and October, Mormons everywhere take a week off of regular meetings in order to listen to the leadership of our church speak to us from Salt Lake City. Most in the United States are able to tune in either on the internet or from their chosen television provider. Thusly, it's a very casual weekend. And one I've come to love spending with Michael.

Also, I've gotten quickly addicted to using my iPhone camera with tons of different apps. This one is Hipstamatic. So fun!

And the kitchen sink.

Long ago there was a tradition on one of the random (only seemingly, I promise) blogs I follow called "Photo Friday" and the tradition was recently revived. This week the given theme was 'sinks' so, despite my embarrassment about the clutter, here's mine.

Sleepy.

The last couple of days have been gray and snowing--which is making me a bit more nutty than I'd care to admit. When I saw this guy the other day I felt a deep empathy because all I wanted to do was sleep too. Let's get to summer already!

Possibly the first day of December?

No. That snow on the ground is just Mother Natures way of messing with me. And killing my pansies.

I've had a hard time thinking about words I may use to describe my first year of marriage. I've decided, instead, to share one photo a day for the next year. Then you can have a glimpse into my world and I can relax about what I 'say'.
